Oh per-lease! Can anybody make a go of this place? It's changed hands more times than a five pound note! Appears to attract no-one but the local dross. Shame, because it could be a gold mine in the right hands I'm sure.

I know what you mean, the place is a dive, I aint been there for a good few months after the last owners were there. Never met anyone that wants your trade but has no manners at all. The place needs pulling down.

I think the brewery, or whoever get the managers in now, just get anybody in for the sake of keeping it open. So, no, there's no quality of service, they just dont give a darn, really. It's the surrounding residents who have to suffer the non-sense from there, though. It's always a relief to see the doors shut (again)especially during the summer months, but I wouldn't like to see it pulled down, structurally it's a lovely building I think. Perhaps a change of use though. It was an absolute travesty when they pulled down the old Ivy Bush Inn, (or The Tudor House as it was later changed to) in Oakdale. The oldest building in the area, years of history, wiped out for the sake of pure greed. The owners certainly gained notority, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons!
